The PDF Splitter is a PC based application designed to split PDF files and distribute to local or network directories for distribution or archival. Utilizing the PDF Splitter, an entire PDF file or selected portions of a PDF file may be distributed to another directory.
For a more complete electronic file delivery system, the PDF Splitter can be integrated with any of the RJS electronic PC file distribution products. When integrated with the other RJS file distribution products, PDF files can be automatically delivered.
When using the PDF Splitter to burst PDF's, a PDF file is now treated just like a query database. You define the locations on each page that get scanned and the PDF splitter searches, selects and sorts the resulting pages into sections based on your selection criteria. Up to 10 different locations on each page can now be scanned when splitting a PDF. Boolean selection criteria can now be used to select pages from a report. This is similar to using a tool such as Query/400 or SQL/400 to select records from an AS/400 report.

Licensing PDF Splitter
Applying a License
From the Windows Start menu, navigate to Programs > RJS Software > PDF Splitter and select PDF Splitter License.
Copy the authorization code you received from RJS Software into the Enter Authorization text entry field, and click Ok. You should see a message box with the text "Action complete". This indicates that the authorization code was successfully applied.
If, instead of seeing "Action complete" you get the message "Invalid Authorization Code Entered!", the license was not successfully applied. Please verify that you entered the authorization code correctly, and that the Code Entry and Computer ID numbers match those used by RJS Software in generating your authorization code. If these numbers do not match, please contact RJS Technical Support with the correct Code Entry and Computer ID numbers.
Please note that the Expiration Date listed on the authorization code window provides no indication of a permanently licensed product. If you are unsure whether your application has been permanently licensed, try running it; if it is using an active or expired temporary authorization code it will notify you with a pop-up message on program start.
Applying a Site License
Copy the PDFSPLIT.RJS license file to the PDF Splitter installation directory (by default C:\Program Files (x86)\RJSPDFSPLIT) to license the software. This file may be re-used by other workstations in your organization. If you are unaware of where to obtain this file, please contact your IT Department or RJS Technical Support.
PDF Splitter installs with a 30-day demo license. If you require an extension, please contact RJS Technical Support with the PDF Splitter Code Entry and Computer ID numbers. From the Windows Start menu, navigate to Programs > RJS Software > PDF Splitter and select PDF Splitter License. The Code Entry and Computer ID numbers display at the top.
To transfer PDF Splitter to a new computer, please contact RJS Technical Support with the PDF Splitter Code Entry and Computer ID numbers of both the computer you are planning to uninstall PDF Splitter from as well as the computer you have just installed PDF Splitter on.
